Blueberry season - export has begun!
Blueberry season has begun — Space Cargo actively supports Georgian exports.
With the start of the blueberry season, Space Cargo is fully involved in the process of exporting Georgian products to global markets.
We are proud to have contributed to the entry of Georgian blueberries into many markets around the world.
Where do Georgian blueberries go?!
Blueberries are exported to countries such as:
🇩🇪 Germany
🇵🇱 Poland
🇦🇪 United Arab Emirates
🇦🇲 Armenia
🇳🇱 Netherlands
🇹🇷 Turkey
and many other countries.
It is especially noteworthy that last season, Space Cargo transported 120 tons of blueberries to Bahrain, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore and China.
State support and growth trend:
The state also actively supports the blueberry sector.
At the initiative of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, within the framework of the state program — “Plant the Future”, 2,836 ha of blueberry orchards were planted in Georgia, for which a total of 53.5 million GEL was allocated for co-financing.
🔍 According to a study prepared by Galt & Taggart:
• In 2023, the blueberry harvest in Georgia amounted to 4 million kg.
• By 2027, the harvest is expected to increase to 25 million kg.
• The largest number of blueberry orchards is planted in Samegrelo, where half of the total area falls.
